 Jenny Stevens Memorial 5k 2017
Description:

This 5K race will start in the Colony Crossing Place shopping center, wind through various neighborhoods in Brandermill and finish at the Colony Crossing Place shopping center.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Project Purple, which raises money for pancreatic cancer research. Pancreatic cancer research is the least well funded of the top 10 cancers.

Our dear friend Jenny Stevens was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in July 2015 right after she finished her initial 6-week class with X-Team and died less than 5 months later. She left behind a husband and 5 kids. We can make a difference through this race by honoring our friend.

"I started a few months ago thinking I was in great shape. After the first work out I knew that I could be in a lot better shape. After a few weeks worth of workouts people started to comment on how much more muscular I looked! After a week of missed workouts I felt gross, both mentally and physically. So besides this being such a great thing for all of us in the physical sense it also does wonders for my psyche cause I feel great when its over! Thanks for everything."
